    tHE DANIEL BOONE BUTTERFLY PALACE

THE DANIEL BOONE BUTTERFLY PALACE is a non-profit, public benefit organization  with a mission to build A live Butterfly Conservatory on the Coast of California where America's and the world's largest over-wintering Western Monarch Butterfly habitats are located.

The State of California is also known for having the world’s rarest butterfly. The Tropical Rainforest Conservatory Dome will feature thousands of free flying exotic tropical butterflies, waterfalls, rare tropical rainforest plants, Orchidarium, Macro Zoo and an Aviary.

The American Western Monarch Butterfly and Rare Butterfly & Rainforest Education Centers will bring public awareness to the importance of the rainforest; the home of more insects, butterflies, plants and animals than any other place on earth.

Master plans include botanical “Theme Gardens” which will focus on “Active hands on" programs in horticulture, gardening and agriculture.

The California Coast is an "Ideal Micro-Climate," where nearly any kind of plant can be grown and where many  international headquarters for  plant experimental research and hybridization are already located.

The project is dedicated to giving hope, inspiration, comfort and reassurance to others through the beauty of nature and America's favorite butterfly, the Monarch.  Their transformation from a caterpillar to a totally new creature, a  beautiful butterfly is truly a “miracle“ made visible. The butterfly has been symbol  of man’s hope, peace, and spiritual renewal since the Bronze Age. We cannot think of a more universal and fragile symbol of caring for those touched by the recent tragic events of our world than to be as
Free As A Butterfly.

Consideration is will be given to donated locations which may be gently rolling, park-like property, studded with rare oak trees; located between San Francisco and Los Angeles, in an area already visited by millions of domestic, international and short distance tourists each year.

Your donations are needed to help this world-class enviro-destination, botanical, horticulture, natural history and environmental science educational project.
